Problem Statement

Conceptualize and prototype an Internet of Things (IoT)-driven Software as a Service (SaaS) application for the Cognex Central Cloud.

Goal

Leverage and develop cloud-native technologies to enable real-time data visualization and efficient device management for Cognex systems that customers could utilize to manage and track their devices.

Process

I collaborated closely with Microsoft to align on cloud architecture and IoT integration strategies. The process involved defining detailed user flows and system interactions, employing methods like prototyping, usability testing, wireframing, and utilizing a robust design system.

Solution

The project resulted in a scalable, secure, and seamlessly connected SaaS application that supports real-time data visualization and centralized management of Cognex devices. The design successfully integrated complex IoT functionalities into an intuitive user experience.
