About Me

Hi! I’m Everett, a product designer with a technical background.

I turn complex problems into simple, intuitive products that create clarity, improve usability, and deliver meaningful impact.

I partner closely with cross-functional teams to ship thoughtful, scalable solutions that balance user needs with business goals.

My Process

My design process starts with understanding real user needs and aligning with business goals. I move from discovery and ideation to prototyping and validation, iterating quickly to find solutions that are both elegant and technically feasible.

Professional Experience

With a background in both design and technology, I bridge the gap between creative exploration and technical execution. I’ve worked across SaaS platforms, enterprise tools, and internal systems, collaborating closely with engineers and product teams.

Associate Software Engineer -> Senior Software Engineer -> Senior Product Management Specialist

At Cognex Corporation, I progressed from Associate Software Engineer to Senior Product Management Specialist, contributing across software development, cloud integration, and product strategy. I designed and developed multiple .NET applications, including an Asset Management tool using Digital Twin models and a data-forwarding solution for Azure and AWS. As a Scrum Master, I led cross-functional teams on three successful projects, consistently meeting KPIs. I conducted extensive market and customer analysis to guide product improvements, notably for Site Manager and a new Industrial Scan Tunnel app. In my current role, I collaborated with Microsoft to prototype an IoT-based SaaS blueprint for the Cognex Central Cloud, driving innovation in industrial automation.

What value can I bring?

  • Translating complex requirements into simple user flows

  • Designing scalable systems and consistent design patterns

  • Facilitating discussions and aligning stakeholders

Beyond Design

Outside of design you’ll find me exploring new tools, sketching ideas, or diving into new tech trends. I also enjoy playing a round of golf on the weekends or participating in a local pickup basketball game.
